Last chance for questions before the test!!

  1. For problem set 2B I have 2 questions: for #7 should we keep the answer as 300 miles/8 hours or figure out how many miles per hour it is? And for #9 how many boys and girls are in our class?

  2. Hi Kate... re-read the FYI on UNIT RATES... you'll see that the denominator should always be per ONE UNIT... whether that unit is hours, or minutes, or feet or gallons or whatever.

There are 13 students in our class, 6 are girls.

  4. When in doubt, do more! I predict it will take you all of 3 minutes or less to do #23-25...

hint for velocity (#25)... velocity can be positive or negative... SPEED is the absolute value of velocity. If a helicopter goes upward at 30 ft/sec, it's velocity is 30ft/sec. If it goes downward at 30 ft/sec its velocity is -30ft/sec. The speed is measure at 30 ft/sec either way.

    Ca-peesb?

Now, go to sleep already!! (It's past my bedtime)
