  2. In the expression -1/2(p - 7) you should DISTRIBUTE the -1/2 the way you would any other multiplier... e.g.

    -1/2(p - 7)
    (-1/2)(p) - (-1/2)(7)
    -1/2(p) - (-7/2)
    -1/2(p) + 7/2

    ca-peesh??

I don't see a -1/2p(p)...that would be -1/2(p^2) but I don't see where p is multiplied by p in this problem... unless I'm misunderstanding what you typed above?

  3. I got it but every single time I check it my answer is wrong! Here are my steps:

    3/8[13/12-8/1]+1/8[13/12]=-1/2[13/12-7/1]
    13/32-3/1+19/96=-13/24--7/2
    13/32-96/32+13/96=-13/24+7/2
    -73/32+13/96=-13/24+98/24
    -216/96+13/96=85/24
    206/96=85/24
I know this can not be right! every time i do it the answer is different! please help

  4. Well, your check step is providing you with valuable information... your solution is wrong... 13/12 is NOT the answer... so recap your solution steps and let's see where things went wrong.

  8. There is no Unit 3 Test Booster... at least not yet anyway. I'm banking that with this special group, no one will need it!!

As for the 13,14,15,16 thing... I already told you guys I'm not very good with numbers. I figured an ambitious young maven like yourself (Kevin) would want to do some extra problems... am I right??

As for your question on hw, probelm sets, etc. the answer is YUP!
