hw #7-2 & 7-3 Solving Systems by Substitution and Elimination

Remember, our text book refers to the ELIMINATION method as the LINEAR COMBINATIONS method.

  2. Well, each party starts with a certain amount of food on day zero (that's your y-intercept, right?). And each party has a different rate of change (i.e. pounds eaten per day... make sure to state it in the negative, since the amount of food is decreasing each day)... does that help?

  4. ... you can multiply both sides of one (or both) of the equations to make the coefficients ANYTHING you want them to be... we'll look at it tomorrow!
