  3. Fine by me... although the best thing to do at this point is to do each problem two ways, just for practice and , of course, FUN!!

  4. but if monominals unite they won't be monominals anymore.right? because they would become polynomials.

  7. Hi Kate, the hw due for Tues is as follows:

hw #10-5 Due Tues Apr 6
    pg 538 #22-28

I recommend that you do it on Sunday or Monday so that it is "fresh" for Tuesday.

Hope you're feeling better! Enjoy the rest of your break!

  10. Ah-hah!! It's about time someone had trouble with #28. There is a little trick to this one (as much as I hate little tricks). First, re-write the polynomial in descending order of degree, THEN FACTOR OUT -1 FROM THE POLYNOMIAL. This should leave you with (-1)(7x^2 - 34x - 5) and now you should be able to use the box method to find your answer. The last part of this "trick" is to realize that the (-1) remains as one of your factors. You can't just factor it out and throw it away.

THAT was almost as much fun as finding the money egg, eh?!
