Who's miserable now??!! What fun... this truly is my favorite time of year! Have you rationalized a denominator today?
Tell me which problems are making your stomach churn, and I'll try to share some strategies with you. I would like to hear from EVERYBODY!!!

whats #41
ReplyDeletei got b...
ReplyDeletei dont get #37 in the 1st packet we got
Hi Meg - I don't have the first packet with me... can you describe #37 easily?
ReplyDeleteAs for #41, it's a combination of an algebra problem and a counting tree. If there are 'x' number of file settings, there are '3x' speed settings. That means for each of the x file setting, 3x different speed settings can exist. SO the total number of settings is x times 3x or 3x^2.
ReplyDeleteI might not be around later, can someone else answer #37?
ReplyDeleteNot that it will help anyone because its the morning before the test, But 37:
ReplyDeleteWhich of the following is not a function?
{(-3,-6),(-2-4),(-1,-2),(0,0)} This can be modeled by y=2x, so it is a function.
I don't have enough time to type B out, but it can be modeled with y=5x, so it is a function.
Lets skip C for now.
D can be modeled with y=-2x+12, so it is a function.
C is the only one left.
to second myself, you should calculate the slope of those lines. If the slope remains constant through all of the points, then it is a function. If the slope doesn't remain constant, it could be a quadratic or not a function at all.
ReplyDeleteWhat's our homework?
ReplyDelete1) pg 591 17-27 Odd
ReplyDelete2) have a miserable weekend!! :)
3) Write a song parody entitled "MathChamber MathChamber" to the tune of "Matchmaker" from Fiddler on the Roof
4) continue being miserable
5) Think about Final Exams (just in case you're not miserable enough)
